Tanoti has established a Songket Weaving Training Programme (SWTP) which is being funded by Maybank Foundation under the Maybank Women Eco Weavers programme.

As a partner of Maybank Foundation, Tanoti’s objective is to equip young girls with skills in weaving traditional songket fabrics. The SWTP is an intense 8-month programme requiring trainees to undergo certain weaving modules and complete weaving two projects. Upon completion of the SWTP, trainees shall be offered permanent positions as weavers with Tanoti.
