Handwoven by Haryati of Endo Segadok, Rumah Sadap, Kapuas Hulu.
This contemporary Pua Kumbu is handwoven on a traditional backstrap loom using the distinctive Teknik Sidan, a traditional weaving technique passed down through generations.
The textile is naturally dyed using locally sourced botanical materials. Renggat (Indigofera) creates the rich blue tones, while a combination of Akar Kuning and Renggat produces the green hues.
Reinterpreting traditional techniques through a contemporary design, this versatile piece may be worn as a shawl, bringing together heritage craftsmanship, natural dyeing and modern sensibility.
