Handwoven by Ani of Endo Segadok, Rumah Sadap, Kapuas Hulu.
This contemporary Pua Kumbu is handwoven on a traditional backstrap loom using Teknik Sidan, a distinctive traditional weaving technique.
The textile is naturally dyed using botanical materials, with Akar Kuning (Fibraurea tinctoria) producing the warm yellow hues, while a combination of Akar Kuning (Fibraurea tinctoria) and Renggat (Indigofera) creates the green tones.
Woven in a contemporary design while honouring traditional techniques, this versatile Pua Kumbu may be worn as a shawl, bringing together cultural heritage, natural dyeing and contemporary craftsmanship.
