Handwoven in Sarawak
Songket trimming, woven at Tanoti House in Kuching by a master weaver. Made over days, not minutes. A beautiful testament to the artisan’s individual skill.

Are you curious what goes into making our handwoven fabrics? Join us for an immersion experience at our weaving workshop in Tanoti House where exquisite songket is being made.

Guided by our Artisans, design and weave your own Songket souvenir!

Tanoti artisans will assist participants to design their own fabric. Once the design is decided, participants will plot the pattern out on graph paper and then proceed to a dedicated loom to weave. Depending on the design, the mini project should be able to complete between 2-2.5 hours

Choose from 2 sessions : 8:00 am and 1:00 pm

  • 2 hours, RM 300 per participant
  • max 10 participants per session
  • at Tanoti House, 56 Jalan Tabuan, 93100 Kuching

Should you wish to extend your time on the loom as your work is not yet completed, you may continue at a rate of RM 300 per session and this additional charge is payable upon completion of your handwoven piece.

Please note: Workshops and Experiences are not available on major Malaysian Public Holidays. Please contact us for more information.
