Hand-dyed in Sarawak
Hand-dyed in Sarawak
Batik linut, drawn and dyed by hand at Tanoti House in Kuching. Each length is worked panel by panel. No two repeats are ever quite the same.

Sarawak’s own batik linut is a product of the land’s bountiful harvests. Using starch from the sago plant as resist, the batik linut is famed as our homegrown eco-batik.

Halmi bin Chek of Semariang is Sarawak’s pioneer batik linut producer who designs and produces distinctive and unique fabrics for fashion and accessories.

Halmi’s batik linut featuring prominent Sarawak indigenous craft patterns is being used to wrap this product - a currency holder which will serve as a trusted and useful companion for your travels.
