Senior Sales Associate / Sales Associate

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Sales Associate / Sales Associate based in 118 Mall, Kuala Lumpur. The Senior Sales Associate / Sales Associate will project Tanoti’s values to protect heritage, empower women and build rural communities. The candidate will also be expected to deliver efficient customer service, understand customer needs, and provide personalised product recommendations to create a meaningful shopping experience. The role also involves supporting daily store operations, maintaining visual standards, managing stock, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming retail experience
  • Assist customers with product selection and provide meaningful product storytelling
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions (purchases, returns, exchanges, online pickups)
  • Support daily store operations including stock receiving, replenishment, and inventory management
  • Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits
  • Ensure compliance with store SOPs, visual merchandising standards, and housekeeping duties
  • Drive sales through cross-selling, upselling, and personalised product recommendations

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of sales experience (artisan craftsmanship or fashion retail preferred)
  • Knowledge of fashion trends and competitors is an advantage
  • A combination of education and experience is preferred but not required
  • Friendly, responsible, and eager to learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working on rotational shifts (including weekends and public holidays)
  • Experience in luxury retail, clienteling, or customer relationship building is an advantage
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email) and ability to operate POS systems

Salary range: RM1,700 – RM2,800

Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Executive

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur or Kuching. The Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Executive will be responsible for planning and executing marketing activities that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and in-store traffic. The role involves managing digital content, supporting retail campaigns, and working closely with the retail team to promote products and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with retail campaigns, product launches, and brand priorities
  • Drive marketing and sales activation initiatives to increase store traffic, engagement, and conversion
  • Manage social media content, including brand storytelling, captions, and visual direction
  • Create engaging marketing content, including visuals, product storytelling, and campaign assets
  • Support and coordinate in-store promotions, events, visual merchandising, and retail activations
  • Identify and secure pop-up event spaces to support marketing campaigns and brand activations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, partners, and key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility
  • Coordinate closely with the retail team to align marketing activities with sales objectives and in-store execution
  • Support influencer collaborations, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints

Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years of marketing experience (retail, fashion, or lifestyle brand preferred)
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing trends
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Good communication and writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Experience in basic design tools, or content creation is an advantage
  • Knowledge of retail marketing, customer engagement, or brand campaigns preferred
  • A combination of education and experience is preferred but not required
  • Passion for handcrafted products and artisan storytelling will be highly valued
